A Programming Note, Two Months Delayed

A Programming Note, Two Months Delayed

Well, the excitement of summer came to a screeching halt on this blog shortly after students returned to school. What had been big plans for a large season preview for the men’s and women’s basketball teams turned into utter silence. And now we find ourselves ten days out from tip, with nary a word from the newest (only?) active blog covering AU athletics.

At the end of August, I started a new job for the first time in nine years. I switched from having been working remotely for five years to being in an office every day. This coincided with my coaching season starting up again (I coach high school ultimate frisbee), and AU athletics slid to the back-burner.

This blog is going to reactivate. My plan is do compile a couple season previews in the next week and a half, cover the games and the trends of the season, and root for these teams as they strive for Patriot League championships and berths into the NCAA tournament. Other, more in-depth posts that were previously advertised (diving in to the Princeton Offence, a goodbye to Coach Gebbia, run down of Coach Brennan’s tenure, etc.) will appear as time allows. But in the height of the season, the focus will be on the games.

If you followed along this past summer, I hope you’ll rejoin me when the ball is tipped on November 9th. Go Eagles!
